Michaela Conlin plays a rookie homicide detective who takes no nonsense in new film Lincoln Lawyer.
But she showed a softer side as she arrived for the premiere last night, walking the red carpet in a clinging scarlet gown.
Despite her ease in front of the cameras, the Bones actress only narrowly avoided a wardrobe malfunction.
Close call: Michaela Conlin adjusts her dress as she arrives for the premeir of Lincoln Lawyer starring Matthew McConaugheyConlin’s eye catching red gown was held in place by a single strap at the neck, which began to slip down as she chatted to reporters.
The 32-year-old didn’t hesitate to rearrange herself, hitching up the gown back into position.
Conlin said of her part in the film: ‘My character, Heidi Sobel, is a fascinating character because she’s so green and she trusts people.
‘She winds up slipping information about the murder case to Matthew [McConaughey]‘s character.’

Hold the phone, you guys. Last night’s episode of Bones totally caught me off guard. Immersing myself in spoiler alerts all day normally takes the edge off, as I haven’t been surprised by a television show since I saw Fringe’s Peter Bishop sparkle and shine earlier this season. But script author Kathy Reichs—the real-life producer, novelist, professor, forensic anthropologist, and person on whom Dr. Temperance Brennan was based—definitely pulled a fast one on me when she decided to have Hodgins (T.J. Thyne) and Angela (Michaela Conlin) get married—and in jail! I’m definitely all aboard the Hodgins-Angela ‘ship. But marriage? Really? Wasn’t it technically the result of egregious product placement?
The relationship between these two nerdy lovebirds has been more enjoyable to watch this season than the one between Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Booth (David Boreanaz) because Hodgins and Angela are so dang open and honest about their feelings. It’s so refreshingly mature! Plus, Thyne and Conlin have terrific chemistry and clearly they’ve worked hard over the last five seasons to develop a real connection between the two characters. The tension between Hodgins and Angela has been particularly noticeable over the last few episodes since Angela’s pregnancy scare. As soon as they landed behind bars together, it was painfully obvious that they would reconnect. It was completely surprising, however, that they decided to get hitched.
I applaud the spontaneity and unexpectedness of the whole thing, especially because the informality of it didn’t necessarily upstage Sweets’s (John Francis Daley) proposal to Daisy (Carla Gallo) last month in “The Bones on the Blue Line.” I also think that Hodgins and Angela’s marriage will help Brennan and Booth make significant strides in their relationship (once they forgive the new couple for not inviting them to the wedding, of course). But I still can’t help but think that a tiny bit of this show’s magic is gone. Where will the Angela-Hodgins drama come from now? A real pregnancy?

TV series Bones celebrated their 100th episode last night in Los Angeles, with most of the cast attending a party together. The show’s in its fifth season now and star David Boreanaz directed the episode—which takes the cast back to the moment when Agent Booth first met Dr Brennan, played by Emily Deschanel. Stephen Fry, who has a recurring role on the show, shared a laugh with David on the red carpet before attending the party. While Emily looked beautiful and posed alongside Michaela Conlin and John Francis Daly, before celebrating with them, as well as the rest of her costars and crew inside.

We have some promos from Fox of the 100th episode of Bones! The episode is called “The Parts in the Sum of the Whole”, and is a flashback (six years) to Booth and Brennan’s first case together. The captions to the individual images reveal we will see the recruitment of Angela (BSC-approved Michaela Conlin) in the episode as well. It will air on Thursday, April 8th (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT).
Episode Synopsis – The milestone 100th episode takes viewers back in time six years as Brennan and Booth recount to Sweets their first case together. With Sweets finishing his book on their partnership, Brennan and Booth take this opportunity to set the record straight on their initial pairing before his book goes to print. While working on a case six years ago, young and rebellious FBI Agent Seeley Booth seeks the help of Dr. Temperance Brennan and her team of scientists to hopefully find the evidence that will prove his high-profile suspect guilty. Although in unfamiliar territory, Dr. Brennan, her grad student Zack (guest star Eric Millegan) and Dr. Jack Hodgins (TJ Thyne) get right to work, impressing Booth with their knack for uncovering new leads and substantiating his theory about a well-connected district judge. While the case cements a foundation for a successful future partnership, it also reveals the convoluted beginnings of the formidable duo – whose feelings for each other almost ended the partnership before it had even begun.
